Allen Ross, Sr., 66, a native of Chauvin, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Simmons Ross; sons, Allen Ross, Jr., Kenneth Ross, Sr., Anthony Craig Ross, Donald Ross, Timothy Ross, and Terrance Rene Ross, Sr.; daughters, Brenda Jackson, Faye Marie Steele and Angela Ross; brothers, David, Hermon, Ernest and Raymond Ross, Nelson and Bernel Vincent; sisters, Rose Mae Ross and Ernestine Ross; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Clifford Ross, Sr.; brothers, Joseph Ross, Percy Ross, Clifford Ross, Jr., James Ross and Sterling Ross; and sisters, Alice Mae Ross and Fannie Mae Ross.
He was a Baptist and member of St. Peter Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening he was an Equipment Operator for The City of Houma.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18 at St. Peter Baptist Church with the funeral to follow. He will be buried at Southdown Cemetery
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
