Alrita Acosta Randolph, 95, a native of Little Caillou, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 3 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2010.

Mrs. Randolph was Queen Hyacinthian III in 1953, and a former volunteer at Terrebonne General Medical Center. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and playing cards.


She is survived by her sons, Jim, Amos Jr. (Jan) and George (Charlotte); sister, Inez Lirette; nieces, Barbara Malbrough, Dotsy Oubre, Emmaline Ross and Dorothy Lanassa; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Amos Lee Randolph Sr.; parents, Jules and Dorothy Defelice Acosta; brothers, Tony, Jules, Albert and Robert Acosta; and sisters, Jane Hebert, Juanita Bergeron and Eula Collins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
