Althea Adalaide Maher Hebert, 83, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Mandeville, La., died Wednesday, September 19, 2007.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, James D. Hebert; one daughter, Judy H. Fitzpatrick and her husband David; and two sons, Kim E. Hebert and his wife Ann Mary and Donald J. Hebert; seven grandchildren, Lauren Fitzpatrick, Colleen Fitzpatrick, Ashli Hebert, William Hebert, Andre Hebert, Craig Hebert and wife, Sierra, and Matthew Hebert and wife, Keri; and one great-grandchild, Olivia Hebert.


She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Anthony Maher; her mother, Maude Orrell Carughi; and her stepfather, John Gilbert Carughi.


Althea was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville.

She is buried in Lakelawn Park Mausoleum in Metairie, La.
