Alton Bush Sr., 67, a native of Napoleonville, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Sunday June 29, in New Orleans, La.

He is survived by his two sons, Dewayne and Alton Bush Jr. of New Orleans; one daughter, Debra Bush of New Orleans; three brothers, Arthur Bush Jr., Albert and Chris Johnson; four sisters, Catherine J. Batiste, Sandra J. Carter, Janet J. Thomas and Margaret Johnson; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Estelle Lewis Bush Johnson, Arthur Bush Sr.; two stepchildren, Lisa and Joyce Bush.

He was a member of the Bright Morning Star Baptist Church Choir and the male chorus.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
