Alton Joseph Maronge Sr., 77, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, April 27, at 12:10 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Ricks Maronge; son, Alton Jr. and wife Brenda Maronge; daughters, Bernadette Maronge, Alvina Naquin and Theresa and husband David Cloud; step-daughter, Dawn and husband Bruce Rodriguez; grandchildren, Richard and Kelly Naquin, Jared Maronge and Caitlyn and Patrick Cloud; and step-grandchildren, Jessica and husband Travis Leiva, and Jeremy and Craign Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie Vial Maronge; parents, Irving and Velia Parr Maronge; step-son, Vollie Corona; brother, Alvin Maronge; and an infant brother.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Church.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at St. Bernadette Church. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial at St. Francis II Cemetery.
