Alton Moses, 48, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, La., Sunday, September 28.
He is survived by his companion, Gwendolyn Hadrick; two sons, Steven Smith and Christopher Moses of Napoleonville; one daughter, Quintessa Smith of Napoleonville; one grandson; his adoptive mother, Virginia Goode of Napoleonville; nine brothers; and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Elijah Veal Sr.; his adoptive parents, Octavia and Sergeon Holly Sr.; one sister; and two brothers.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, October 4, at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville with services to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
