Alvin Charles, 59, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
Mr. Charles was Baptist.
He is survived by his brothers, Wayne and Eugene Charles and Floyd and Warren Young Jr.; and sisters, Rhonda Spellman and Delores Young.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Joseph Charles and Jeanette Young; sisters, Beverly Hicks and Gwendolyn Gebremihndin; and grandparents, John and Irene Randall and William and Polly Charles.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at The House of the Lord in Houma, La. with religious services to follow. Burial will be at Young Ladies Benevolent Church in Raceland. (Kennedy)
