Alvin Michael Bourgeois, 83, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Adela Bourgeois; daughters, Elizabeth (Charles) Catchings and Christina (Tony) Lusco; brother, Milton (Rita) Bourgeois; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Yvonne Bourgeois; parents, Joseph and Cordelia Bourgeois; brothers, Oral, Okland and Edward Bourgeois; and sisters, Bernice Babin, Doris Theriot and Catherine Bourgeois.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews, La., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. (Falgout)
