Alvin Pierre Naquin, 93, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes, La., and resident of Des Allemands, La., died at 5:28 p.m. March 15, 2011.


Mr. Naquin was retired from Texaco after 36 years of service and a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands.


He is survived by his wife, Emily Lyons Naquin; sons, Merlin (Doris) and Myron (Jackie Perkins) Naquin; daughters, Sandra (Larry) Orgeron and Karen (Robert) Landry; brother, Willard Naquin; sisters, Julia Adams, Dora Lee Authement and Olivia Hunt; 12 grandchildren: 14 great-grandchilden; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Pauline Ledet Naquin; stepmother, Felicia Dupre Naquin; six brothers, Lionel, Phili and Gus Naquin, and Murphy, Marcus and Allen Dupre; and four sisters, Lucille and Ceclie Naquin, Victoria Savoie and Aline Matherne.

He is buried at St. Gertrude Catholic Church Cemetery. (Falgout)
