Amy Pierce Chiasson, 77, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Thursday, October 4, 2007, at 2:25 p.m.


She is survived by her son, Terry Chiasson and his wife Roxanne; one daughter, Cherie Zeringue and her husband Mark; one brother Kernest “Coon” Pierce; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris Joseph and Alice Pierce.

Amy was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, choir, Purple Diamond Red Hatters. She loved spending time with her family and traveling. She loved her two Poodles Cha Cherie and Mon Terry. She was a retired teacher who taught for over 40 years.

She is buried in Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
