Andrew “Baldie” L. Cheramie, 82, a native of Lafitte, La., and resident of Leeville, La., died Sunday, June 12, 2011.
Mr. Cheramie was Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking, bird watching and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Cheramie; son, Ronny (Mona) Cheramie; daughters, Linda (Larry) Lafont, Margaret Gaussiran and Stacy (Michael) Cheramie; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Julienne Cheramie; daughter, Christine Cheramie; brothers, Eugene and Bervick Cheramie; sisters, Elenore and Josephine Danos, Jeanne Welmeyer, Manilla Matherne and Ernestine Cheramie; and two grandchildren.
Burial was at Cheramie Cemetery. (Falgout)
