Anita Thibodaux Barrios, 86, a native of New Iberia, La. and resident of Lockport, La., died at 2:23 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Lockport. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Barrios Cemetery.


She is survived by her husband, Mack Joseph Barrios; one son, J.P. Sloane; and three grandchildren, Shannon S. and Justin Solane and James Coleman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anatole and Rita Vincent Thibodaux; one son, James D. Coleman; three brothers, Dennis, Ozema and Larry Thibodaux Sr.; and four sisters, Gladney “Tootsie” T. Barrios, Ada T. Dore, Beulah Thibodaux and Mildred T. Matherne.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockport.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
