Anita L. Wheaten, 80, a native of Montegut, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010.
Ms. Wheaten was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church where she served as an usher. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Joyce), Chris and Keith (Sandra) Wheaten; daughters, Sandra (Charles) Williams, Cheryl (Raymond) Cleveland, Gayle (Charles) Johnson, Francis (Vernon) Alexis and Dawn and Annette Wheaten; sister, Octavia (Hosea) McKay; 34 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at St. Peter Baptist Church followed by burial at Morristown Benevolent Cemetery.
