Annie Lou Williams Riley, 83, a native of Zachary, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Feb. 16, at 11 p.m.


She is survived by three sons, Isaac H. Riley Jr. and wife, Bertha, of Houma, Latas D. Riley and wife, Lauren, and Marsena H. Riley and wife, Leslie, both of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Iris R. Davis and husband, John Sr., of New Orleans, La., Dr. Judy G. Riley of New Orleans and Kelva A. Riley of Houma; two brothers, Robert Williams and wife, Thelma, of Zachary and Bunyan Williams of Zachary; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Isaac Henderson Riley Sr.; her parents, Wiley Williams Sr. and Elizabeth “Betsy” Moore Williams; six brothers, Johnny, Wiley, Sylvester, Henry, Harrison and Phillip Williams; and two sisters, Janie Tate and Rhoda Mae Williams; and one foster sister, Rosa Levy.

She was a teacher in Terrebonne Parish School District and a member of Terrebonne Retired Teachers Association and Louisiana Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Howard Baptist Church with services to follow. She will be buried at Crozier Cemetery.

Gertrude Geddes-Willis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
