Antoine Joseph “Mr. Kone” Gregoire Sr., 65, a native and resident of Dulac, La., died Thursday, April 2.


He is survived by his wife, Linda T. Gregoire; sons, Antoine Gregoire Jr. and Joshua C. Gregoire, both of Houma, La.; daughter, Consuela G. Duthu and husband Joseph Duthu Jr. of Houma; sisters, Mary G. Dion of Dulac, Dorothy “Belle” Billiot and husband Curtis of Bayou Blue, La., and Shirley G. Bruce and husband Bobby of Cut Off, La.; brothers, Ernest Leroy Gregoire, John Terry Gregoire of Dulac and Paul “Block” Gregoire and companion Karen of Gray, La.; special step-son, Chad Carrer and companion Summer Verdin of Dulac; grandchildren, Gretchin Gregoire and Matt Ledet, Reba Duthu, Lillian Duthu and companion Troy Anderson, Vincent Duthu, Kayleigh Gregoire, Mason Gregoire and Kamree Gregoire; step-grandchildren, Sarah and Cierra Carrere; and great-grandchildren, Hailie and Stephen Ledet and Luke Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris J. Gregoire and Marjorie “Margie” Lodrigue Gregoire; sister, Carrie Gregoire; grandparents, Joseph L. Lodrigue and Eveline Solet Lodrigue, and Felecia Lovell Gregoire and Albert Gregoire; in-laws, Angelo and Louise Trosclair; brother-in-laws, Paul Elton Dion, George B. Gill, George Trosclair and Joseph Parfait; and sisters-in-law, Irene Parfait and Mary Trosclair.


He was a member of KC. Council 7722 and was a past Grand Knight, Past Deputy Grand Knight, Past Vice President of the Home Association and President of the Home Association. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus Council 2215. He was a retired bus driver and custodian for the Terrebonne Parish School Board. He was a deputy custodian for the voting machines and was a retired welder and trawler.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are preferred.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Community Funeral Home and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Holy Family Catholic Church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
