Antoinette Robichaux, 83, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died at 7:09 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011.


Mrs. Robichaux was one of the first members of the Lockport Carnival Club, a co-founder of The Community That Cares, past president of American Legion Post 83 Ladies Auxiliary, a retired homemaker, coordinator of the Lafourche Parish Council on Aging and former owner of Raggedy Ann Doll Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Scott) Guidry; brother, Anthony “Tony” Bruno Sr.; and one grandchild, Scotty Guidry.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred “Al” Robichaux, former mayor of Lockport; and parents, John and Frances Lusco Bruno.

She is buried at Holy Savior Cemetery.
