Archie Thomas Bolden, 54, a native of Gibson, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, July 16, 2007.


He is survived by his wife, Rosa Banks Bolden; one son, Geontay Bolden; two daughters, Jernae’ C. Bolden and Kierra Bolden; four brothers, Cornelious Bolden III and his wife Vera, Newan Bolden and his wife Mary, Ard Carney Bolden, and Rudolph Bolden and his wife Delores; four sisters, Doris Kane, Gaynell Castle, Muriel Tyler, and Aneal Fenderson; and two grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelious and Zenobia Bolden; and one sister, Ocea Bolden Taylor.

Archie was a driver with Terrebonne Council on Aging and was self-employed. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Joy Full Gospel Outreach Ministries and Full Gospel Church.

Visitation is Tuesday, July 24, 2007, 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, July 25, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Community Funeral Home, with the funeral to follow at Greater New Salem Baptist Church in Houma. He will be buried at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
