February 13, 2012Archie “Red” Matthews, 51, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.
Mr. Matthews was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Bernice Matthews; grandmother, Louise Matthews; brothers, Cornell (Sonya) and Donald Matthews; and sisters, Cheryl Diggs and Darlene (Pastor Hayward) Sims.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Matthews Jr.; and grandparents, Eddie Sr. and Mary Tember, Robert Matthews Sr. and Jim and Dorothy Willis.
Visitation will be 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at New Zion Baptist Church with services at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Crescent Farm Cemetery. (Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne)
