Armand “Cho-Cho” J. Plaisance Sr., 78, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011.
Mr. Plaisance was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Enola Plaisance; son, Armand Plaisance Jr.; daughters, Mavis and Melanie Bourgeois, Melissa (Timmy) Callais and Michelle Plaisance; brother, Harold Plaisance; sisters, Mary Smith, Bella Coupel and Shirley Plaisance; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Lezima Plaisance; daughter, Margie DesOrmeaux; sister, Sadie Plaisance; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano with services to follow. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery. (Falgout)
