Arthur “Junior” Joseph Crochet Jr., 71, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011.


Mr. Crochet was the owner of Jr.’s Glass Shop, which operated for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Carolyn Ballard Crochet; son, Richard “Ricky” Crochet; daughters, Kelly (Alton Jr.) Knight and Alma Crochet; half-sisters, Linda Babin and Gayle Dupre; four grandchildren, Alton Knight III, Keeli and Chase Crochet and Maddox Gremillion; and two great-grandchildren, Ian and Jenna Knight.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Crochet Sr. and Eunice Bergeron Crochet Dupre; one daughter, Vicki Crochet; one brother, Wilson “Red” Crochet; and two sisters, Melva Quick and Jeanette Kuest.

He is buried at Rogers Cemetery.
