Aubrey Joseph Portier, 92, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 1:20 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017.
Mr. Portier loved to serving with the staff at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin under Monsignor Brunet. He was a bus driver for Terrebonne Parish and a United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He enjoyed taking family trips to the Smoky Mountains and Biloxi, Miss.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Wilma Rhodes Portier; daughter, Jeanne (Blane) Howard; son-in-law, Randy Fair; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Chauvin.
