Audrey La Cour Williams, 87, a native of Lake Arthur and a resident of Baton Rouge, La., concluded a good, long and happy life peacefully, painlessly and prayerfully Friday, April 10, at 9:50 p.m.


She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, James Albert Williams of Baton Rouge; sons, David Williams and wife Karen of Houma, La., J. Rene Williams and wife Marsha of Houma, and Charles T. Williams and wife Elaine of Lafayette, La.; daughter, Celeste Autin and husband Donel of Houston, Tx.; grandchildren, Jane Chauvin, Michelle Everson, Rebecca Williams, Matthew Tanory, John Tanory, Ryan Williams, Jared Williams, Jacob Williams, Blair Williams, Melissa Williams and Mitchell Williams; step-grandchildren, Christy Duplantis and husband Eric, and Don Autin and wife Dana; great-grandchildren, John and Connor Chauvin; and step-great-grandchildren, Tyler and Sayde Duplantis, and Aaron and Aidan Autin.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Bertha Reimers La Cour; sons, Richard “Dickie” Williams and Dennis Albert Williams; and sister, Anna C. La Cour.

She was a beautiful wife and mother of five sons and one daughter. She was a retired secretary from Jim’s Equipment, as well as a member of the Catholic Daughters and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church for over 30 years.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, April 13, at Chauvin Funeral Home with a prayer service to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
