Augustus B. Hebert, 90, a native and resident of Choctaw, La., died Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
Mr. Hebert was a PFC in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed planting gardens and working in the fields.
He is survived by his daughters, Eve (Robert) Webre and, Gloria (Louis) Traigle, Lisa Naquin and Ann Cortez; sons, Auguste, Adam, Gary (Donna) and Michael (Wanda) Hebert; sisters, Lucille Hebert and Alice Verdin; 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alcida Hebert; parents, Alcide and Ophelia Hebert; brothers, Octave, Joseph and Allen Hebert; and sisters, Mary Ford and Lucia Percle.
Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at St. James Chapel in Choctaw. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, La. (Thibodaux)
