September 1, 2011Azelie Georgie Charpentier Tivet, 89, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011.
She is survived by her son, Johnny (Lannie) Tivet; daughter, Judy (Junior) Lirette; sisters, Flossie (Alden Sr.) and Irene Foret; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Tivet; parents, Jean and Elda Charpentier; brothers, Claude, Murph Sr. and Jean Charpentier; and sister, Jean Lapeyrouse.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 at Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin. (Samart)
