Barbara Ann Evans Celestine

Barbara Ann Evans Celestine, 58, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, July 7.

She is survived by two sons, Sylvester Celestine Jr. of Houma and Byron Celestine Sr. of Ft. Polk; one daughter, Sylvelynn Celestine of Houma; one brother, Carl A. Evans of Flint, Mi.; two sisters, Veranese Douglas of Houma and Marion Browscer of New Orleans, La.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Junius Evans Sr.; six brothers, Wallace, David Sr., Junius Jr., William Sr., Claude and Louis Evans; and one sister, Geraldine Evans.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Schriever, La.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at First Baptist Church in Schriever with the funeral service to follow. She will be buried at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery in Waterproof, La.
