Barbara “Bobbie” Marie L. Chiasson, 84, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Huey Chiasson Sr.; sons, Huey Jr. (Theresa), Jerry (Geri) and Roddy Chiasson; daughter, Janice (Donald) Constant; 13 grandchildren, Chantell Gonzales, Travis, Cade, Jacob, Clint, Ashland, Cody, Tyler, Bryce and Jackson Chiasson, Randi Abadie, Meggie Kliebert and Misty Woodard; two stepgrandchildren, Shelly and Stacy Ledet; 19 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Martha Peltier; brothers, Anthony and Eddie LeBlanc; and four sisters, Joyce Borne, Grace Daigle, Odel Benoit and Diane Cavalier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoine and Cynthia Thibodeaux LeBlanc; one son, Rene Chiasson; and two brothers, Mack and Jimmy LeBlanc.
Special thanks to her caregivers, Tee Chiasson, Geraldine Benoit, Jackie Rodrigue and Mary Thibodeaux.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
She is buried at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery.
