Barbara Lee “Clara Bell” Miles-Bennett, 59, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011.


Clara Bell was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.


She is survived by her sons, Kala (Kenna) Franklin, Leroy Miles and Chataman (Tabitha) Riggs Sr.; daughters, Barbara Ann (Richard) Moss and Sheba Miles; brothers, Lee (Bernadine) Benjamin, and Hurley, John, Alvin (Tammy), Milton (Leona) and Darnell (Claudia) Miles; sisters, Gloria (Louis) Jones, Ruth Payne, Dollie (Homer) Speed, Patricia (Buford) Calloway and Mary Ann Miles; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Sr. and Ruth Cook Miles; five sisters, Esther Lee Miles, Evelyn Miles, Albohare and Rosa Lee Singleton, and Jessie Miles; and her grandparents, Evelyn “Eva” and Elijah Cook, and Dollie T. Miles.
