Beatrice B. Mire

Beatrice B. Mire, 85, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and resident of St. Charles Community, La., died Thursday, May 8, 2014.

Mrs. Mire was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a graduate of Southwestern Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, La., and a fifth grade teacher for the Lafourche Parish school system for 25 years. She was a 4-H Club leader and religion teacher for St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Mona (Dave Jr.) DeFelice and Beth (Patrick) Dufrene; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Mire; parents, Paul and Corinne Bourgeois; and brother, Carl Bourgeois.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
