Beatrice “BB” Lirette Blanchard, 79, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Saturday, October 25, at 9:50 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Blanchard; sons, Melvin LeBouef Sr., Conrad LeBouef and wife Linda, Gerald “JR” Lirette and wife Mary, and Gentry Blanchard and companion Sabrina; daughters, Ida L. Adams and husband Wilbert Sr., Dorthy Chaisson and husband Glynn Sr., and Beatrice Charpentier and husband Ronnie Sr.; brothers, Randolph Lirette and Conrad Lirette Sr.; daughter-in-law, Joy Ellender; 38 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ida Boudreaux Lirette; first husband, Harry LeBouef; sons, Robert LeBouef Sr. and Dimitri Blanchard; brothers, Albert Jr. Wiley, Walter and Wilton Lirette; sisters, Olivia Hebert, Latrine Domangue and Viola Pellegrin; grandsons, Melvin LeBouef Jr. and Gerald Wells Jr.; great-grandsons, Jason Blanchard and Christopher Smith Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Jenny Dupre.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
