Beatrice Thomas Davis, 90, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Tuesday, Sept 6, 2011.
Mrs. Davis was Baptist.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Folse, Hilda Reado, Beatrice Johnson, Daisy Triggs, Ora and Cora Davis, Yvonne (Marvin) Beauty and Rose (Rev. Kerry) Gant; sons, Jerome (Crystal) and Roger Davis; brother, Rodney Thomas; sister, Rose Hatcher; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Davis Sr.; parents, Benjamin and Dora Thomas; sons, Simon Jr. and Rome Davis; and brothers, Harry, Wilbert, Elijah and Albert Thomas.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept 9, at Third Zion Baptist Church in Raceland with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Brooklyn Cemetery in Raceland. (Kennedy)
