Benjamin Andre Leith Rook, 27, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Thursday, April 16.
He is survived by his parents, Gary Rook and Linda Marter Rook; son, Aiden Sean Rook of Houma; brother, William Shaun Rook of Lockport, La.; grandparents, Rufus Marter and wife Faye of Bellefontaine, Ms., and William Maston Rook; aunts and uncles, John and Sherri Salley of Grenada, Ms., and Woody and Anne McGee of Eupora, Ms.; cousins, Matt Eidt, Johnathan Salley, Kenton McGee, Jennifer Luby and Stacey Navarro; and fiancé, Lisa Martin of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Eleanor Jefcoat Rook and Catherine Marter.
He was Baptist and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a draftsman with North American Shipbuilders.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, April 17, at Chauvin Funeral Home. The funeral service and burial will be at a later date in Grenada.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
