February 18, 2014Bernice Gray, 89, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Gibson, La., died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.
Mrs. Gray was Baptist.
She is survived by her sons, Roy Jr. (Sadie) and Charles (Lavone) Gray; daughter, Carolyn Gray; brothers, Willie, Wesley and Bernard Williams; sister, Evelyne McGurie; adopted grandson, Tywan Beasley; 20 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal Gray Sr.; parents, Arthur and Ollie Williams; son, Thomas Gray; daughter, Carrie Beasley; brothers, Arthur Sr., Clarence and Roosevelt Williams; and sister, Kerimah Emile.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Community Funeral Home and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gibson with services to follow. (Community)
