Bettie L. Marks, 73, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Bush, La., died Sunday, April 6, at 7:50 p.m. after a long battle with cancer.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Marks and wife Emily of Metairie, La.; daughters, Gwendolyn M. Block and husband Richard of Houma, La. and Bettie Lynn Smith and husband Ronald of North Carolina; brother, Lawrence H. Menge Jr.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin Marks; parents, Lawrence Sr. and Marie Tregre Menge; and sister, Laura Mae Menge.
She will have a private service.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
