Betty Martin Loupe, 77, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Des Allemands, La., died Wednesday, April 10, 2013.

Mrs. Loupe was a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a volunteer for the Catfish Festival and a CCD teacher. She was the 2008 grand marshall for the Des Allemands parade and an avid LSU and Saints fan.


She is survived by her sons, Claude, Adam and Al Loupe; daughters, Arlene Hall, Claudia Cortez and Theresa Pickett; brother, Michael Martin, sisters, Loraine Pierce and Pamela Falgout; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Burial is at St. Gertrude Catholic Church Cemetery in Des Allemands. (Falgout)
