Houma man found guilty of wife’s ‘04 storage box murder

Beverly “Taunt Lou” Crochet Dardar, 69, a native and resident of Houma, LA., died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007.


Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m., today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Friendswood Church of God. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery.


She is survived by her husband Thomas Dardar Sr. of Houma; six sons, Thomas P. Dardar Jr. of Houma, Kenneth J. Dardar of Violet, LA., Vincent K. Dardar Sr. of Youngsville, LA., Steven J. Dardar, Michael W. Dardar of Houma and Randy Dardar of Thibodaux, LA.; five daughters, M. Christine D. Eschette of Georgetown, Tenn., Helen D. Babin, Tammy L. Dardar, Patricia D. Stouff of Houma and Rhonda D. Huggins of Grove Hill, Ala.; two brothers, Vincent Bergeron and Robert Crochet of Houma; 36 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse Crochet and Antoinette Ponville Crochet; three brothers, Elward Crochet, Donald Crochet and Jake Bergeron; and four sisters, Angelle Trahan, Shirley Trahan, Doris Brister and Betty Ann Fonseca.

She was a homemaker and a member of Friendswood Church of God.

Chauvin Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
