Beverly Babin Picou, 69, a native and resident of Houma, died at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010.
Mrs. Picou was Catholic. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend, who enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Conrad “Sonny” Picou Jr.; sons, Christopher (Stacy) and Conrad III (Deanna) Picou; daughters, Theresa (Leslie O’Pry) Picou, Jane (Bryan) Lirette and Jennifer (Russell) Shaw; brothers, Melvin, Carroll, Kenneth and Gary Babin; sisters, Earline Bergeron and Kathy Autin; and 13 grandchildren, Victoria Picou, Elizabeth Picou, Sean Mathis, Julie Mathis, Drew Mathis, Blake Picou, Taylor Picou, Justin Picou, Morgan Picou, Benjamin Lirette, Abigail Lirette, Caroline Shaw and Mason Shaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Alice Rogers Babin.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Patrick F. Taylor/American Cancer Society 2609 River Rd. New Orleans, LA 70121 are preferred.
