Billy “Billy Joe” Joseph Trahan, 42, a native and resident of Houma, La. died Monday, October 15, 2007, at 11:12 a.m.


He is survived by his parents, Gilbert Joseph and Betty Giroir Trahan, Jr.; his former wife, Debbie Broussard Trahan; three stepsons, Cody Smith, Brandon Smith, and Garry Smith, Jr. and his wife Ashley; one stepdaughter, Candice Smith; four brothers, Bobby Trahan and his wife Beryl, Mike Trahan and his wife Amy, Ricky Trahan and his wife Donna, and Doug Trahan; one step-grandchild, Logan Smith; two godchildren, Thomas Trahan and Devon Trahan; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert and Uraine Trahan, Sr. and Addie and Lorita Giroir; one infant sister, Kim Trahan; and one nephew, Alexander Breaux Trahan.

Billy was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Church. He was a pipeline operator with Plains All American. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved football and baseball and loved to sing karaoke.

He is buried in St. Anthony Cemetery in Houma.
