Brenda Mae Jones, 63, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula Pharagood of Napoleonville, La., four sons, Keith Pharagood, Dwayne Pharagood, and Kentrell Pharagood of Thibodaux and Fredrick Jones of New York City, N.Y.; one brother, Winton Pharagood of Thibodaux; three sisters, Gloria Henderson, Elouise Weber and Audrey Davis all of Thibodaux; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelious and Mary Johnson Pharagood; one daughter, Roxanne Ellis; three brothers, Welmon Pharagood, Oscar Pharagood Sr and Elvert Pharagood Sr.
She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and served as a member of the choir. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, and fishing.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery on Brule Road in Thibodaux.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
