Brien “Tweet” Dwayne Verdin, 49, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, June 27.
He is survived by his wife, Sharri Denise McGuire-Verdin of Houma; son, Kylar McGuire of Houma; daughters, Brittany Verdin, Alaina Verdin and Kali Castle, all of Houma; brothers, Clyde Verdin and wife Monica of Morgan City, La., Perry Verdin Jr. and wife Denise, Joseph Verdin and wife Dorthea, Benjamin Verdin, Bernard Verdin and Vernon Verdin, all of Houma; sisters, Stephanie Lewis and husband Neal Wayne, and Barbara J. Verdin of Houma; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry Sr. and Helen Ringold Verdin; brothers, Michael J. Verdin, Stephen D. Verdin and Claude Verdin; and sister, Cassandra D. Verdin.
He was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and the Brotherhood of Plymouth Rock.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Houma with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Deweyville Cemetery in Houma.
Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
