Brooks Matthew Champagne, 22, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, August 20.
He is survived by his parents, Bruce Champagne Sr. and Mary Dusenberry Champagne of Houma; two brothers, Bruce Champagne Jr. and fiancee’, Katie Watkins, and Brandon Champagne and wife, Amanda, of Houma; one sister, Brittany Champagne and boyfriend, Sean Chauvin, of Houma; one niece, Grace Champagne; his maternal grandmother, Margery D. Dusenberry; and his paternal grandmother, Elsie Rich.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond Dusenberry; and his paternal grandfather, Edward Champagne.
He was a Day Camp Youth Counselor at St. Bernadette Catholic Church and was an avid Denver Broncos and LSU Tiger Fan. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
He was buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
