Buvince “Bue” Naquin Sr., 71, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 3:18 a.m. Thursday, July 10.
He is survived by his wife, Josie Naquin; one son, Buvince “T-Bue” Naquin Jr. and companion, Celia; two daughters, Cena Ratley and husband, Wayne, and Deborah LeCompte and husband, Joel; four stepsons, Kent Bouvier and wife, Kelly, Keith Bouvier and wife, Becky, David Bouvier and wife, Sandy, and Earl Moran; two brothers, Godfrey and Lionel Naquin Jr.; two sisters, Rose N. Boudreaux and Gertrude Naquin; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Blanchard Naquin; his parents, Lionel Naquin Sr. and Cena N. Naquin; one daughter, Dell Ann Naquin; one brother, Murphy Naquin; and three sisters, Pauline Schouest, Ellen Naquin and Brenda Dickey.
He was retired from Louisiana Land and Exploration and retired from ACME.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 11, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, with burial at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
