Byron Thiac, 72, a native of Donaldsonville, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, July 20, at 1:53 a.m.
He is survived by his son, Tim Thiac; five daughters, Melissa Noel, Cindy Edrington, Peggy Toups, Julie Ng and Mary Zeringue; one brother, Brandt Thiac; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Thiac; his parents, Emile and LauraLee Thiac; and three sisters, LauraLee Thiac, Marcel Caillouet Rouse and Olga Thiac.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
