La Hwy 1 to close temporarily Sunday
October 15, 2010Carl M. King Jr., 77, a native of South Carolina and resident of Houma, La., died at 1:40 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Daigle King; daughters, Deena and Megan (David Tullos and his daughter, Alex Tullos) King; and brothers, Robert “Bobby’ King and Kenny Gordon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sr. and Maude Lewis King; and in-laws, Gaston and Lydia Daigle.
The family extends deepest appreciation to their family, friends and private caregivers whose compassion and care comforted all during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to a private care facility for Alzheimer’s patients, the Suites at Sugar Mill Point, 220 Valhi Blvd., Houma, LA 70360.
Graveside services were held at St. Joseph Cemetery.
