Carla Taylor Bailey, our beloved “Chicky”, 55, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Bourg, La., died Saturday, February 28.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Joseph Bailey; parents, Allen Taylor of Houma and Isabel “Liz” Resendez Pattison of Bourg; son, Ian Joseph Bailey; daughter, Hannah Taylor Bailey; sister, Lillianne Douglas and husband Roy of Houma; grandchildren, Kaylena and Jenica; niece, Candace Britt Porche and husband David; and her loving relatives, the Herb Bailey Sr. family and her special “Auntie” Gladys Zitek, all of Warsaw, In.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Taylor.
She attended Nicholls State University and Louisiana State University. She graduated from South Louisiana Vo-Tech Institute in 1975 in nursing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to HOPE for Animals or Animal Shelter of choice.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Bourg.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
