Carmen Boudreaux Duplantis, 69, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011.


Mrs. Duplantis was employed with Chase Bank for 30 years. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed working in her yard, being with her family and painting beautiful pictures. She always encouraged people to smile and was a truly an inspiration to others. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.


She is survived by her husband, Donald Duplantis; sons, Danny (Carla) and David (Cristal) Duplantis; mother, Ethel Boudreaux; brother, Rodney Boudreaux; sisters, Charlene Samanie and Marilyn Guffy; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Abel Boudreaux.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
