Carol Portier May, 63, a resident of Thibodaux, La., departed this world for the next Tuesday, May 5.

She was the beloved wife of William J. May; daughter of Arthur J. Portier and the late Betty Portier; mother of Donna and Thomas Accardo, Paula and Fred Peer, and Steven and Sherree May; grandmother of Brittany, Myles, Alex, Dominick, Royce, John and Keagan; nanny of Roger “Deanie” Portier; and a friend of many.


She was a retired school teacher who taught many years at both Wyandotte and Bayou Vista Elementary schools during the 80’s and 90’s while she lived in Morgan City, La. She loved life and her family and will be dearly missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
