Carrie D. Clarkston, 90, a native of Fairfax, La., and resident of Franklin, La., died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Jr. (Ethel), Joseph (Dorothy Mae), Walter Sr. (Dorothy), Jonathan Sr., Emmanuel, Barry Sr. (Sandra) and James (Wendy) Clarkston; daughters, Carrie (Royal) Stewart, Edlena (Darryl) Brice, Mae Clarkston, Tracy (Autrey) Johnson III, and Antonia (Alonzo) Petty; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Clarkston Sr.; parents; three brothers; one sister; and one daughter, Elizabeth Clarkston.

She is buried at Franklin Mausoleum.
