Carroll Dewitt McKey Jr.

Carroll Dewitt McKey Jr., 72, a native of Crowley, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011.

Mr. McKey was a Bachelor of Science graduate of USL, former owner of Houma Tire Service and part owner of Houma Valve. He worked as a realtor for Century 21 and was a former president and long time member of the Houma Rotary Club. He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie McKey; children, Leah (Wayde) Keiser, Carroll III (Donna) McKey, Shawn (Lester) Naquin, Ann-Margaret (Sean) Leary, Laine (Lance) Thayer; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll Sr. and Margurite McKey; and sister, Patsy McKey.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with mass to follow. (Chauvin)
