Carroll J. Chaisson, 71, a native of Larose, La., and a resident of Cut Off, La., died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010.


Mr. Chaisson was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He retired from LATELCO after 38 years of service as an accountant. He enjoyed traveling and spoiling his grandchildren.


He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara K. Chaisson; sons, Duane (Lisa) and Brent (Mary) Chaisson; brother, Richard (JoAnn) Chaisson; sister, Diane (Herman) Hukins; uncle, Marvin Theriot; brothers-in-law, Kirk (Susan) and Dr. Ron Kilgen; sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Dr. Marilyn Kilgen; and four grandchildren, Ross (Reann), Lindsay, Sarah and Chole’ Chaisson; one great-grandchild, Olivia Chaisson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Velma Theriot Chaisson.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

He will be buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
