Carroll Joseph Theriot, 70, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Lafayette, La., died Saturday, Aug. 29.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve “Jenny” Champagne Theriot; mother, Della Fanguy Theriot; one son, Lanny Theriot and Tracy Domangue Theriot; one daughter, Janine Caillouet and companion Alfred Duplantis; three sisters, Nita Hebert, Anna Duplantis and Mary Naquin; five grandchildren, Sarah T. Gore, Jessica T. Anderson, Joshua LeBoeuf, Christopher LeBoeuf and Courtney LeBoeuf; and six great-grandchildren, Chance Theriot, Drey Anderson, Kaden Anderson, Kendell Gore, Landen Gore and David Paul LeBoeuf.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elby Joseph Theriot.
He was a past member of the Selucrey Marching Club. He was a dedicated LSU fan. He enjoyed camping with family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lanny Theriot, Irvin Champagne, Darrell Champagne, Wayne Lirette, Steve Ruiz, Joshua LeBoeuf, Christopher LeBoeuf and Glenn Naquin. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cecil Duplantis, Jimmy Doucette and Robert Knight
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
